What is tightlining?
Tightlining is when you place eyeliner onto the rim of the eye. Most people do this on the bottom lash waterline. Which is great but what we are going to do is place it on the upper lash line (I promise its easier then it sounds!).
This technique is great for making the eyes appear more defined and giving the eyelashes a more thicker appearance.
1 - First of all your going to need a flat eyeliner brush and either a water activated eyeliner or gel/cream.
2 - You're going to need to be able to look down into a mirror, so make sure you have a mirror in a place that you can do this.
3 - Dip your brush into the product and make sure you wipe away the excess onto the side of the product packaging, we want to keep the brush as slim as possible and wiping it will help this.
4 - Look down into your mirror and with your hand that you're not holding the brush with, you want to gently lift your eyelid up so you can see the root of your top lashes and the pink.
5 - With your brush and product we want to carefully place the product onto the root of the lash, not the pink of the eyelid, if we place it onto the pink there's every chance that the product will transfer onto the lower eyeline.
6 - Once your brush is connected to the root of your lash give it a little wiggle and then move on to the next part of the eye. You're not drawing a line like you would eyeliner, you are simply tracing the the root of the lash line, you cannot do this in one swift movement like you would with normal eyelid eyeliner, so you do have to keep going back in and out.
And thats it! It really is as simple as that. Natural, defined eyes.
