I've never done a favorites post before I dont think, which is strange as I really quite do enjoy reading them. So without to much waffling from me, lets go straight into my favorites of the month of May.
Sleek Matte Me in Shabby Chic £4.99
Mattes are huge right now, as you very well may have guessed, with every brand having their own set of liquid lipsticks. I have full heartedly jumped on this band wagon and I'm following the trend like a lemming.
There really is something quite chic and sophisticated about a matte lip, dont you think?
I love this colour from Sleeks Matte me range, as it is quite similar to MACS Soar lipliner which has its own cult following.

Rimmel London Volume Colourist Mascara Extreme Black £7.99
Mascara is my desert island product, I will cope without everything else, but if you take my mascara away from me I will cry. I have such blonde eyelashes, that without that coat of black I look like a mole.
So with that image now out there, you can understand my delight at this mascara having added semi permanent lash tint to it.
I did think at first that this was to good to be true, but over time I have noticed my lashes darken. Its by no means a replacement for a lash tint but it does darken them enough to be seen!
The mascara is actually pretty good itself to!
Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam £14.99*
At the time of writing this, outside is doom and gloom. But my tan is saying cocktails and Barbados.
I have translucent skin, its the Irish in me. I'm all freckles and pale skin in reality. I'm not going to rave to much abut this as I do have a post dedicated post to it here but I have just recently purchased the Bondi Sands Everyday - Gradual Tanner £11.99* which i'm using everyday as a top up and I may love it more then my Dove Gradual Tanner.
*currently on offer in Superdrug
Show Beauty Pure Treatment £50
This is a pure indulgent hair oil, the smell is devine and the packaging is just wow. The glass bottle looks beautiful and the oil itself feels like silk.
I received this beautiful product in my You Beauty Box, which for me is hands down the best box out there. It costs just £6.95 a month, including post and packaging.
So yes, I did get this £50 hair oil for pretty much nothing!

When God Was a Rabbit by Sarah Winman
You know the age old saying of 'dont judge a book by its cover'? Well I totally judged this book by its pretty cover and am I glad I did!
Young Elly's world is shaped by those who inhabit it: her loving but maddeningly distractible parents; a best friend who smells of chips and knows exotic words like 'slag'; an ageing fop who tapdances his way into her home, a Shirley Bassey impersonator who trails close behind; lastly, of course, a rabbit called God. In a childhood peppered with moments both ordinary and extraordinary, Elly's one constant is her brother Joe.
Twenty years on, Elly and Joe are fully grown and as close as they ever were. Until, that is, one bright morning when a single, earth-shattering event threatens to destroy their bond forever.
Spanning four decades and moving between suburban Essex, the wild coast of Cornwall and the streets of New York, this is a story about childhood, eccentricity, the darker side of love and sex, the pull and power of family ties, loss and life. More than anything, it's a story about love in all its forms.
