Thin Hair Woes .

“Man, Grandma, what big hair you have."
"The better to style with, my dear.”

Hair. The absolute Bane of my life.

Super Fine  hair? Check.

Knotty barnet? Check.

Dry split ends? Check.

Dull and boring? Check!

Overprocessed hair pretty much giving up on life? Check, Check, CHECK!

As you can see, everything I dont want it to be.

My hair is such a major problem for me, that nine times out of ten I just cannot be bothered with it and chuck it up in some kind of bun/mess on top of my head and ignore it for the rest of the day.
How I wish I was one of them women with a beautiful mane that always seems to fall perfectly (no doubt because of the weight of all the hairs!) around their shoulders even after being blown about by a gail.
A pigeon landed on my head once, I believe it mistook my hair for a nest, and rightly so.

No matter what 'volumising' products I use, my hair will always look flat and fine, and fly-away. Some products may help for the first hour after blow drying my hair but reality is no sooner have I exited the house it's all gone to kerplunk and I'm looking like Worzel Gummidge again.

So let's talk about the only thing that does work. The only thing that gives immediate volume and thicker hair.

Hair extensions.

Now I have always flirted with the idea of hair extensions, but the expensense and commitment to having them put in and re-done every three months has always put me off, not to mention how pricey they can be.  Clip in hair extensions however are a completely different kettle of fish.
I received some *Lush hair clip-in extensions from the lovely ladies at Lush Hair Extensions and not only are they much more affordable then having permanent extensions fitted, they are less maintenance and take no time at all to pop in.

I have the 20 inch full head in Light Auburn, Which comes with 8 different clip pieces.
Now applying the whole lot of them to your head looks amazing and in the photos below I have them all in, but for day to day use I can actually get away with wearing half and still have thick looking hair, it's just a little less Katie Price volume and more Rachel Green (Friends season 7, that hairstyle was my ultimate hair goal as a teen)

Lush Hair Extensions

The hair itself feels beautiful and sleek and due to it being real hair it doesn't look Barbie like when you have it in and just blends beautifully with your own. I've added a little curl though mine just to help my hair blend in even more seamlessly with the extensions.I have already washed mine just to see how they hold up, and after allowing them to dry naturally they feel as good as new. They did have a slight kink to them, just like real hair would, but after running my straighteners over them they were perfect again.

Lush Hair Extensions

It's amazing how much more confident I feel about wearing my hair down now, Which sounds silly, but I'm sure other ladies out there with super fine hair will understand!
If you've been thinking about trying hair extensions then I would definitly recommend getting in touch with the Ladies at Lush hair extensions with any queries regarding what would be best for you and your hair and they can even colour match you up without you even leaving the house!
Now please excuse me while I practise my hair flicks.
