Autumn Makeup Favourites

Summer here in the UK has been pretty marvelous. We are never usually blessed with such long spurts of hot weather, so when it does happen I forget just how much sweat combined with makeup can really take its toll on my skin.

With that being said, I haven't worn makeup in a few weeks now, which although feels empowering, I also miss it. So as much as it pains me to say this... Bring on Autumn weather!
I'm ready for you!

So here is some of my favorite Autumnal makeup pieces that I just cannot wait to get on my face.

MAC Burgundy Lip Pencil

MAC Burgundy Lip Pencil

Burgundy is my favourite colour so this lip pencil was always going to find its way to my heart. I use this as a all over lip colour, and it gives life to my pale cheeks and that just bitten look of the lips that rivals Snow White.

Laura Mercier Eye Creams

Laura Mercier Eye Creams

Laura Mercier Metallic Eye Creams

How I adore these rustic shades. The formula of these all over eye bases are perfectly creamy, which feels soothing in the colder weather, but it can also cause them to slip slightly. If you are happy enough to have your eye makeup looking slightly smudged and worn in by the end of the day (which I do) then you will love these. I'm pretty sure they are being discontinued (WHY LAURA WHY!?) but you may find the odd couple still lurking around some of the concessions stands.

MAC Eyeshadows

MAC Eyeshadows

MAC Antiqued and Copperplate eyeshadows.

Red eyeshadow is a love or hate thing, I do find that most of the people that hate it have usually have had a bad experiance with it, or have seen that experience on someone else's face, eck!
When red eyeshadow is done right though, it is so pretty. Especially on blue or green eyes, it really makes them pop. If you're struggling with red eyeshadows you can read my tips on how to wear it here.
These two shadows are staples for me in the autumn months, and you can most likely be finding me wearing a combination of these eyeshadows and the Laura Mercier eye creams.

Let me know what you're looking forward to wearing this Autumn.

  1. Great picks! I haven't tried any of these products before but they look lovely. The shadows look very Fall appropriate :)
