Affordable New Years Eve Makeup 2016

“Youth is when you're allowed to stay up late on New Year's Eve. Middle age is when you're forced to.”

New years eve makeup always have to involve glitter and sparkle right? Or am I just using it as an excuse... I never feel more in the party mood then when I have a disco ball on my eyelid, and this year is no different from the last.

Barry M glitter dust is perfect to shimmer in to the new year with, with the added benefit of not burning a hole in your pocket. I've chosen to wear the silver dust for my big night out, but the gold version is just equally as pretty and worth a look.

As with all glitters it's best to apply a cream base on your lid first, otherwise the glitter won't stick. Any light cream eyeshadow/highlight will do the job.

My eyelashes are the wonderful one pound lash from Superdrug in natural one.

I want the main focus to be on my glitter eyes so I have paired Rimmels East End Snob lip pencil with a light pink lipgloss. Applying a lip pencil around your lip line then carefully blending up your lip with a lip gloss gives a really nice natural ombre finish to the lip, and also means when your lip products start wearing off your not left with a a liner lip.

And there you have it. Simple, pretty, cheap New Years eve makeup. I hope whatever your doing tonight you have an amazing time.
