Superdrugs One Pound False Eyelashes

superdrugeyelashes

Eyelashes can really make a look, and also disguise a not so good look! I'm not one of these people that can wear eyelashes on a day to day basis, but for special occasions nine out of ten times I will grace my lashes with a pair of fabulous falsies.

Superdrug have just launched a new affordable false lash line with each set of lashes retailing at just one pound. Having tried cheaper lashes before I was slightly sceptical just how good these would be, but surprisingly they are not bad at all.
Now dont get me wrong these are no mink feathered Goddess shaped lashes, but what they are, are a basic pretty budget lash that would be great for any beginner makeup artist, a budding makeup enthusiast or for anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune on false lashes.
Superdrug have released quite a few into this new range, so there will be something for everyone I'm sure but I've tried and tested the three that were most appealing to me below.

Superdrug natural lash in 204

Natural 204

These are actually a lot more subtle looking on, then on the first impression that they gave in the box.
The criss cross lash gives a volumized look to your own natural lashes while still looking fairly natural. The band is very thin and clear so you could wear them without eyeliner (providing you apply them close s possible to your lashline).

Natural 202

My personal favorite of the bunch. These are fairly similar to the 204 lash but are a lost more dense thus looking blacker. The band on these lashes is fairly thick (so eyeliner will most likely be needed) but is still surprisingly flexible. I assumed I was going to have problems fitting these to my eye, but they were actually the easiest.

This pair is your standard run of the mill lash, they pretty much suit every eye shape and provide lots of length and give a awaken look to a tired looking eye. The band is slightly smaller then the 202 lashes, but I would suggest eyeliner with these still, just to cover up any give aways.

Do I think they will last more than a couple of wears? Maybe not. Are they as comfortable as more expensive brands? So So, you get what you pay for. But I do think the amount of choice that Superdrug has presented us with and that they are only a pound, really does make these an absolute steal.
Needless to say I'm very impressed with these lashes.

Hats off to Superdrug.
