Five Photo Editing Apps For Your Phone

Photo Editing Apps For Your Phone

I'm not a good photographer.
 I admit it.
I love the outcome, but the whole setting up, getting the right lighting, fiddling around with the settings on the camera, and then hoping to god that a cloud doesn't decide to descend on your now set up makeshift studio.
It's just all a massive palaver and my patience wears pretty thin.
Its not that I dont enjoy it, its just that trying to get the image from my mind's eye, into the camera roll always tends to leave me feeling more deflated then creative.
Either the lightings just off, or it's not quite sharp enough, or a stray cat hair has somehow managed to be present in your photos the whole time, without you noticing it until youve finished and admiring your now not so admirable work (darn cat!) on the computer.
So I have been on a bit of a mission lately to try and find some IPhone/phone apps that will help out the budding photographer in me.
*Rankin, outta the way!

VSCO - Free

How I wish I had found this app sooner! The in-app filters for Instagram are OK, but if you really want wow-worthy pictures then VSCO is your guy. They have a massive range of filters to choose from (some you do need to pay for) which take your photo from zero to hero in seconds.

Facetune - £2.99

Blemishes? Tired eyes? That god darn cat hair? Facetune will sort all of that and more out for you. Ever wonder how Instagramers get their photos whiter then white? This app is how, the tooth whitening feature works wonders at getting everything that Dazzling white.

Pic Stitch - Free

This apps great if you want to create a collage. Its super simple to use with its basic layout. If you fancy jazzing up your simplistic images then this is a great way to do so.

Snapseed - Free

This is the newest app to my collection so im still getting use to it. From what I can tell so far is that it comes with a bunch of basic filters, but the main selling point of this app are the editing tools. You can do everything from fine tuning your images to 'healing' blemishes.
A bit of a all in one.

Pic Lab -Free

This is a great little app for adding effects. You can add anything from their word stickers to geometric shapes and text. A great way to really liven up a boring picture!

What apps do you use to help the photographer in you?

*Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha no....

  10. Wow! Thanks for this! I just use the built-in features of instagram because I couldn't find the options I want in most apps. Like I have to download so many and my phone can only accommodate a few (low memory). But I haven't tried any of the apps you mentioned above so I will definitely check them out. Thanks! :)
